Silver Lake Expected to Prevail in Dell (DELL) Deal - FBN Gasparino
Dell, Inc. (Nasdaq: DELL) is slipping slightly lower Tuesday afternoon following some speculation that Blackstone (NYSE: BX) might not be able to get a deal done.
Fox Business Network's Charles Gasparino said insiders at Blackstone see the odds at 50 percent or less that a deal will get done and that "Silver Lake is going to prevail." He continued that the firm might walk away following due diligence.
The deal is being worked on by former Dell executive David Johnson, Gasparino notes. Dell waived a prior non-compete so Johnson could assist in the deal.
Dell is down 0.3 percent.
