BlackBerry (BBRY) Launches Z10 in Key Southeast Asia Market
BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY) shares are hovering near even Friday afternoon as the company expanded into yet another key emerging market.
According to Canada's Globe & Mail, BlackBerry released its Z10 smartphone in Indonesia today. Indonesia is currently BlackBerry's third-largest market behind the U.S. and Britain. Current population is about 240 million and latest shipment data about about 15.5 million units.
The Z10 appears to be priced at 7 million Indonesian rupiah (Rp), equivalent to roughly $722.

The Z10 is BlackBerry's flagship smartphone running its new BB10 operating system. The device has been launched in Britain, India, and Canada so far, with preorders in the U.S. already started and launch expected later in March.
