February 11, 2013 6:58 AM
Carnival Corporation (NYSE: CCL) (NYSE: CUK) is lower in early trading Monday amid reports on Sunday night that one of its ships is stranded.

Reuters says that the Carnival Triumph is without propulsion following an engine fire. The Triumph is adrift about 150 miles offshore Mexico's Yucatan peninsula.

All 3,143 guests and 1,086 crew members appear to be okay, the report stated.

Carnival stated that another cruise ship, the Carnival Edition, is with the Triumph, transferring over food and beverage provisions.

The guests will be receiving a full refund, Carnival said.
