Crane Co. (CR) Tops Q3 EPS by 3c; Sees FY12 Results at Low-End of Outlook
Crane Co. (NYSE: CR) reported Q3 EPS of $0.99, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.96. Revenue for the quarter came in at $646 million versus the consensus estimate of $662.08 million.
Sales from continuing operations for 2012 are expected to increase approximately 4%, or at the low end of the prior sales guidance range of 4-5%. 2012 EPS is expected to be in the lower half of the previously communicated guidance range of $3.75 - $3.85, excluding Special Items. The EPS guidance includes $0.04 associated with the first half profits from discontinued operations, but excludes the gain from the sale of these businesses and repositioning costs.
