Daqo New Energy (DQ) Posts Q4 Loss of $1.12/Share; Guides Shipments
Daqo New Energy (NYSE: DQ) reported Q4 EPS of ($1.12), versus the analyst estimate of ($0.07). Revenue for the quarter came in at $38.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $41.9 million.
Polysilicon shipments were approximately 834 metric tons, or MT. Photovoltaic (PV) module shipments were 9.6 Mega watts, or MW.
For the first quarter of 2012, the Company expects to ship 800-900 MT of polysilicon. The Company also expects to ship approximately 16-17 MW of wafer and 5.3 MW of modules. For the module shipment, the Company further expects 2.9 MW will come from its brand name module and expects to provide 2.4 MW PV modules manufacturing outsourcing service to its customers.
