Waste Management (WM) Tops Q4 EPS by 3c; Guides FY12 EPS; to Increase Dividend
Waste Management (NYSE: WM) reported Q4 EPS of $0.63, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.60. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.41 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.35 billion.
Waste Management sees FY2012 EPS of $2.22-$2.30, versus the consensus of $2.29.
The Board of Directors has announced its intention to increase the dividend to $1.42 per share on an annual basis, at an approximate cost of $665 million. The Board must separately declare each dividend. The Board has authorized up to $500 million in share repurchases. The amount of share repurchases will depend on a number of items, including changes from expected levels of capital expenditures, business acquisitions, investments, and debt repayments.
