SS&C Technologies shares fall on weak Q4 revenue outlook

October 23, 2026 10:09 AM

SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc shares dropped 6.9% in morning trading on Friday after the financial technology firm issued fourth-quarter revenue guidance that missed Wall Street expectations.

The company projected adjusted revenue for the fourth quarter of 2026 in a range of $1.70 billion to $1.74 billion, with a midpoint of $1.72 billion. The forecast fell below the analyst consensus estimate of $1.75 billion. SS&C also guided organic revenue growth to approximately 4.0% at the midpoint, marking a slowdown from the 5.2% organic growth recorded in the third quarter.

The decline extended a selloff that began in after-hours trading the previous evening following the guidance announcement.

For the third quarter, SS&C reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.78, slightly above the $1.77 consensus estimate. Adjusted revenue of $1.69 billion matched analyst expectations and represented a 7.8% increase from the prior year. Adjusted consolidated EBITDA reached a record $674.8 million, with margin expanding 40 basis points to 39.9%.

Management attributed the expected fourth-quarter slowdown to contract timing rather than weakening demand. The company noted that large deal signings can shift organic growth by 100 to 200 basis points.

Needham raised its price target on SS&C to $105 from $90 while maintaining a Buy rating. DA Davidson increased its target to $104 from $96, also keeping a Buy rating.
