October 22, 2026 7:31 AM

Solana Company (NASDAQ: HSDT), a digital asset infrastructure and services company, has been designated as a strategic enterprise by the Hong Kong SAR Government's Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES), according to a press release issued by the company.

The company is the only blockchain infrastructure company onboarded by OASES in 2026 and is part of the agency's seventh batch of strategic enterprises, announced at a signing ceremony in Hong Kong. OASES was established in 2022 and has designated more than 140 strategic enterprises to date, including Pfizer, GSK, Roche, Dassault Systèmes, DiDi, and AI developer MiniMax.

As part of the designation, Solana Company will establish its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. The company said it has already opened an office in the city to serve as its executive base for regional operations.

Under its Pacific Backbone initiative, Solana Company plans to set up validator operations in Hong Kong, expanding its role in operating the Solana blockchain network. The company also provides advisory services to financial institutions across Asia-Pacific.

Joseph Chee, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Solana Company, said: "Asia Pacific is central to our strategy, and Hong Kong is the base from which we will advise institutions and build infrastructure across the region."

The OASES designation follows Hong Kong's announcement of a goal to establish a regulatory regime for digital assets as part of its First Five-Year Plan, along with related initiatives including the Stablecoins Ordinance and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's Project Ensemble on tokenization.
