Cognyte lands $20M+ defense deal with NATO ministry

October 21, 2026 8:00 AM

Cognyte Software Ltd. (NASDAQ: CGNT) has secured a framework agreement valued at more than $20 million with the Ministry of Defense of an unnamed NATO member nation, according to a company press release.

The agreement, established with the ministry's procurement authority, covers solutions from Cognyte's AI-powered investigative analytics portfolio. It includes an option to increase the total value by up to 50%. One agency within the ministry has already placed an initial order exceeding $10 million under the agreement, and other units within the ministry may order under the same predefined terms.

The framework structure allows defense agencies to deploy solutions without negotiating separate commercial terms for each order, giving additional ministry units a direct path to procure from Cognyte.

"This award followed an extensive competitive evaluation and multiple proofs of concept, where our technology demonstrated the performance required for mission-critical defense operations," said Adam Philpott, Chief Revenue Officer at Cognyte.

David Abadi, Chief Financial Officer at Cognyte, said the agreement aligns with the company's stated strategy of growing its military intelligence business. "With more than $10 million already ordered and a clear path to broader adoption across the ministry, it provides growth potential and greater visibility into future business," Abadi said.

Cognyte, headquartered in Herzliya, Israel, supplies analytics solutions to law enforcement, national security, and military intelligence agencies.
