HPE and Nvidia expand AI factory portfolio for enterprise deployments
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) announced a series of new products and capabilities within its HPE AI Factory with Nvidia portfolio at NVIDIA GTC Berlin 2026, aimed at helping enterprises deploy and operate autonomous AI systems across hybrid and sovereign environments.
HPE is expanding its HPE Private Cloud AI platform with new HPE AI Essentials capabilities, including governed APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, OpenAPI-based development tools, and enterprise identity and access controls. The updates are designed to allow developers, independent software vendors, and AI agents to connect to enterprise AI services while maintaining centralized governance. These updates are scheduled to roll out in late 2026, with a self-service developer experience planned for 2027.
HPE Private Cloud AI now supports heterogeneous GPU configurations combining Nvidia H200 and Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs within a single cluster, a feature the company says is generally available. Nvidia's open-source KAI Scheduler, also now generally available, provides quota- and priority-based workload scheduling across the platform.
On the infrastructure side, HPE introduced the Nvidia Vera CPU Rack by HPE, a liquid-cooled system featuring 256 Nvidia Vera CPUs designed for CPU-intensive agentic AI and reinforcement learning workloads. The company also announced support for the Nvidia OpenShell Reference Architecture for Safe AI Agents, combining secure runtimes, hardware-based security enforcement via Nvidia BlueField-4, and Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 for model inference.

HPE said it will also support the Nvidia DSX POD, a modular, pre-fabricated reference design intended to reduce on-site integration work for large-scale AI factory deployments.
For sovereign and regulated environments, HPE is expanding support for Nvidia Confidential Computing on HPE ProLiant Compute DL380a Gen12 servers equipped with Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs.
Schneider Electric separately announced plans to combine HPE Private Cloud AI with its industrial technology expertise to support AI agents deployed at the edge.
