Five firms team up to speed robot training for warehouse returns
Sereact, Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), Nebius (NASDAQ: NBIS), CEVA Logistics and Zalando have announced a joint automated training pipeline for Sereact's Cortex robot brain, with an initial deployment targeting returns handling at CEVA Logistics fulfillment centers on behalf of Zalando, according to a press release.
The pipeline, described as a closed training loop, is designed to reduce the time required to update robot policies from weeks to days. Robot episodes recorded at returns stations are stored in Nebius object storage, processed through Nvidia's Isaac Lab simulation tools and Cosmos world foundation models, then used to retrain Cortex on Nvidia Blackwell GPUs. A policy that meets a set performance threshold proceeds to real-world testing; one that fails triggers additional simulation variants before retraining.
An AI agent manages the workflow, reading Nvidia's Physical AI Data Factory instruction files and Nebius Workbench skills to run simulation, training, evaluation and gating stages. Sereact engineers define the objective and approve runs above a set cost limit.

The pipeline is available as a reference architecture on the Nebius AI cloud, with Nvidia Physical AI Data Factory skills pre-installed, running in Nebius EU regions on a pay-per-use basis for compute and storage.
Sereact said that with Zalando's participation, it has raised more than $145 million to date. The company, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Stuttgart, counts IKEA, Daimler Truck, Mercedes-Benz and BMW among its customers. CEVA Logistics, headquartered in Marseille, reported 2025 revenue of $18.3 billion and is part of the CMA CGM Group.
