Zoom unveils Unified Context Layer and new AI tools at Zoomtopia

October 20, 2026 12:57 PM

Zoom Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZM) announced a new Unified Context Layer and several AI-powered products at its annual Zoomtopia customer conference on Oct. 20, 2026, in San Jose, California.

The Unified Context Layer links conversation history with documents and data from Zoom and connected third-party applications, giving users and AI agents access to business context across meetings, chats, and other channels. The feature includes configurable access controls and is designed to coordinate AI agents across workflows.

New capabilities launching alongside the Unified Context Layer include My Notes Workflows, which connects meeting summaries to tools such as Zoom Chat and Salesforce, and ZoomMate Agent Teams, specialized AI agents available now. Additional features expected later in 2026 and into early 2027 include enriched meeting notes, a refreshed Zoom Chat experience, personalized missed-meeting transcripts, and a Live Meeting AI Agent.

Zoom also announced a Voice Translator feature that renders a speaker's audio in other languages using a synthesized version of their own voice, a Pose Correction tool, and real-time accent smoothing through a "Touch up my Voice" feature. On the customer experience side, new offerings include Customer Profiles for Zoom CX and a Zoom Virtual Agent kiosk for physical retail locations, both expected in November 2026.

New administrative controls include Centralized AI Management, AI Guardrails, Deepfake Risk Detection, and Sensitivity Labels that sync with Microsoft Purview.

According to the company's press release, Zoom Virtual Agent customer count has grown 256% and the company expects to surpass $5 billion in annual revenue this year. A Zoom-commissioned survey of 500 U.S.-based knowledge workers found that 72% of AI tool users reported high or extremely high business impact, compared with a market average of 63%.

"AI models are only as powerful as their understanding of your business, and that context makes all the difference," said Eric Yuan, founder and CEO of Zoom.
