IBM Ventures backs Leena AI's autonomous agent platform
IBM Ventures, the venture capital arm of IBM (NYSE: IBM), has made a strategic investment in Leena AI, an enterprise AI company headquartered in New York, according to a press release.
Leena AI's AI Colleague platform deploys autonomous AI agents designed to handle end-to-end back-office processes in HR, IT, and Finance. The platform integrates with enterprise systems including SAP, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle, and ServiceNow, and the company says it currently serves more than 500 enterprises globally.
The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
Emily Fontaine, Global Head of IBM Ventures, cited Leena AI's focus on back-office operations as a factor in the investment decision. "Leena AI's approach complements IBM's work in AI orchestration and governance, and we look forward to supporting the team as it scales," she said.

Adit Jain, Co-founder and CEO of Leena AI, said the backing signals readiness for large-scale enterprise deployment. "IBM has spent decades earning the trust of the world's largest organizations," Jain said.
IBM Ventures focuses on early- and growth-stage companies in AI, security, and quantum computing that complement IBM's existing portfolio. The new investment joins prior backing from Greycroft and Bessemer Venture Partners.
Leena AI claims to have been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for three consecutive years, though this could not be independently verified from the press release alone.
