October 20, 2026 9:03 AM

Myriad Genetics (NASDAQ: MYGN) has agreed to sell its Prenatal Health testing business to Labcorp (NYSE: LH) for $210 million in cash, plus the value of inventory at closing, according to a press release issued Oct. 20, 2026.

The business being sold includes the Prequel, Foresight, SneakPeek, and FirstGene tests, which have been used by more than 600,000 patients and thousands of providers over the past twelve months.

Labcorp expects the acquisition to add approximately $160 million in revenue in its first year, be slightly accretive to adjusted earnings in year one, and reach average diagnostics segment margins by the end of year two following full integration.

Myriad said the transaction is expected to be accretive to its revenue growth and profitability and strengthen its balance sheet. The company stated it intends to focus investment on what it describes as the cancer care continuum.

"This transaction supports Labcorp's specialty testing growth strategy," said Bryan Vaughn, Executive Vice President and President of Diagnostics at Labcorp.

Sam Raha, President and CEO of Myriad Genetics, said the deal is "expected to be accretive to Myriad's revenue growth and profitability, while meaningfully strengthening the balance sheet."

The transaction is subject to regulatory clearance and customary closing conditions, with closing expected by early 2027. Myriad plans to provide additional commentary on the transaction during its third quarter earnings call on Nov. 4, 2026.
