Intellicheck, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDN) announced a partnership with Agility Credit, an approved automotive credit bureau reseller, to offer identity verification and fraud detection tools to automobile dealerships.

Under the arrangement, Intellicheck's identity authentication technology will be integrated into Agility Credit's platform, which combines credit bureau data, device intelligence, and compliance workflows. The integration is intended to allow dealerships to verify a customer's identity before a credit file is pulled, then apply additional fraud detection checks throughout the transaction.

The combined system targets synthetic identities, stolen identities, and credit-washing attempts at multiple points in the deal process, according to a press release from Intellicheck.

"A credit decision should start with confidence in the ID presented, not just the information in a credit file," said Bryan Lewis, CEO of Intellicheck. He added that the company expects the partnership to help grow its automobile dealer scanning volumes.

Darrel Schulte, co-founder and CEO of Agility Credit, said that fraud at dealerships has evolved, with bad actors presenting fake identification documents that can evade visual inspection.

The partnership connects Intellicheck's document verification layer with Agility Credit's credit data and red flag compliance workflows within a single platform available to automotive dealers.
