October 20, 2026 7:20 AM

Investing.com -- On Tuesday, Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL) reported third quarter adjusted earnings per share of $0.60, exceeding the analyst consensus of $0.58, while revenue of $5.7 billion topped estimates of $5.58 billion.

Shares of the company edged up 0.64% in pre-market trading following the results.

Revenue increased 2% YoY from $5.6 billion in the third quarter of 2025.

The company’s adjusted operating margin reached 12.8% in the quarter, compared to 13.4% in the same period last year. Halliburton generated free cash flow of $156 million and returned $250 million to shareholders through stock repurchases, along with dividends of $0.17 per share.

"I am pleased with Halliburton’s third quarter results. Our revenue exceeded our expectations, and we took important steps towards improving our margins," said Jeff Miller, Chairman, President and CEO.

The Completion and Production segment reported revenue of $3.1 billion, down 4% sequentially, with operating income of $457 million. The decline was primarily driven by lower stimulation activity in the Western Hemisphere, partially offset by increased activity in the Middle East. The Drilling and Evaluation segment posted revenue of $2.6 billion, up 4% sequentially, with operating income of $391 million, an increase of 16% from the prior quarter.

Geographically, North America revenue decreased 5% sequentially to $2.2 billion, primarily due to lower pressure pumping services in U.S. Land. International revenue grew 3% to $3.5 billion, with Middle East/Asia revenue rising 8% to $1.4 billion.

Miller provided an early outlook for 2027, expecting mid-single digit revenue growth and operating margins of about 15%, representing an approximately 200 basis point improvement. This outlook assumes a flat North America market and does not require any recovery in North America hydraulic fracturing.
