Silver Range Resources Ltd. (TSXV: SNG) has appointed Luke Schranz as vice president, according to a company press release.

Schranz holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geological Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Nevada, Reno. He has nine years of experience in the mining industry, starting as an underground ore control geologist at Klondex Mines' Fire Creek Mine in Nevada, and later continuing in a senior role after Hecla Mining acquired the operation.

In his new role, Schranz will focus on target generation, acquisition, and exploration, and will assist management with property marketing and sales.

In connection with the appointment, Silver Range granted Schranz 400,000 stock options at an exercise price of $0.11 per share. The options are exercisable over five years and vest on a quarterly basis during the first year.

Silver Range is a precious metals prospect generator operating in the southwestern United States and northern Canada, with a portfolio of 34 properties, 14 of which are currently optioned to third parties. The company also holds eight royalty interests on previously vended projects.
