Calix unveils AI agent and platform updates at ConneXions 2026
Calix, Inc. (NYSE: CALX) announced updates to its Agent Workforce product and Calix One platform at its annual ConneXions 2026 conference, along with expansions to its SmartMDU and SmartBiz offerings targeting multifamily and small business markets.
The company introduced a refreshed CommandIQ mobile app featuring a Subscriber Agent, which uses conversational AI to help residential subscribers manage home networks. Calix also unveiled a new Control Center for Agent Workforce, designed to give service providers a centralized interface for deploying AI tools across their operations.
Additional updates include expanded agentic workflows for marketing automation, network monitoring, and subscriber engagement, as well as a forthcoming no-code Workflow Studio that will allow service providers to build custom automation without managing their own AI infrastructure.

On the hardware side, Calix introduced new managed switches to support SmartMDU and SmartBiz deployments, enabling providers to manage small business and large multifamily property environments through a single platform. The company cited customer resident satisfaction ratings of up to 95% in existing SmartMDU deployments.
Michael Weening, president and chief executive officer at Calix, said: "AI has to be trusted, secure, and predictable. That is why we began making significant investments in 2023 to make the Calix One platform AI native. We delivered that foundation in March of this year, building on more than $2 billion invested in our platform over 15 years, 26 years of workflow expertise, and more than 5 billion workflows running annually."
According to the company, the Calix One platform currently serves more than 1,200 customers. The announcements were made based on information provided in a Calix press release.
