GE HealthCare launches Logiq Focus ultrasound system with AI tools

October 19, 2026 9:01 AM

GE HealthCare announced the Logiq Focus, a new general imaging ultrasound system built on the company's cSound Architecture, designed for full-body ultrasound exams across routine and complex care areas.

The system includes AI-enabled automation tools, such as an Auto Preset Assistant that detects anatomy being scanned and activates corresponding settings. According to the company, clinicians can save up to five clicks per exam and spend up to 25% less time on AI-automated tasks.

A third-party study conducted by UseLab GmbH found that 90% of participants rated the overall image quality of Logiq Focus as excellent, and the system completed abdominal scans 26% faster than a predicate device.

The system includes productivity tools such as AutoEF, which automatically measures ejection fraction to assess heart function, and Scan Assistant, which guides users through exam protocols. Liver assessment tools include Ultrasound-Guided Fat Fraction and 2D shear wave elastography. The Vscan Air CL wireless probe is compatible with the system.

Logiq Focus also incorporates SonoDefense, a multilayer cybersecurity framework designed to protect patient data and keep systems operational.

The system has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and CE Mark approval in Europe.

GE HealthCare stated that Logiq Focus is one of several new products expected to contribute 1% to 2% of revenue growth for the company, which has invested more than $5 billion in innovation since 2023. GE HealthCare (NASDAQ: GEHC) reported annual revenue of $20.6 billion.
