America's Car-Mart gets lender extension through October 22
America's Car-Mart, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRMT) has received an additional extension from its lenders, pushing the waiver period for certain credit agreement defaults through October 22, 2026.
The extension, agreed upon on October 14, 2026, involves Silver Point Finance, LLC, acting as Administrative Agent and Collateral Agent, along with the lenders party to the Credit and Guaranty Agreement dated October 30, 2025. The extension provides temporary relief related to minimum liquidity thresholds and a minimum Collateral Coverage Ratio, continuing a series of similar extensions that began September 4, 2026.
The company has disclosed that it has experienced, or anticipates experiencing, events of default under the credit agreement, including failure or expected failure to comply with certain financial covenants and reporting obligations. The lenders have agreed to waive such defaults through the current extension period.

America's Car-Mart said it is continuing to evaluate strategic alternatives under the oversight of a special committee of its board of directors. The review may include potential financing, recapitalization, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactions. The company stated it believes it has made significant progress toward a transaction and that discussions with third parties, the agent, and the lenders remain active.
The company cautioned that there is no assurance it will satisfy the conditions for a permanent waiver of the defaults, that its review of strategic and financing alternatives will result in any transaction, or that it will be able to achieve a sustainable capital structure.
