October 15, 2026 10:07 AM

JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) has opened bookings for BlueFirst, its new first-class cabin product, with introductory one-way fares starting at $249 on select routes. The service is scheduled to launch December 8, 2026, with daily flights between Boston and Fort Lauderdale.

BlueFirst seats feature five inches of recline and up to seven inches of additional legroom compared with JetBlue's standard main cabin seats, along with 13.3-inch seatback screens with Bluetooth connectivity. On flights of 899 miles or longer, passengers will receive a meal service. Beverage offerings include sommelier-selected wines, specialty coffee and premium teas.

The cabin is planned for more than 30 routes across JetBlue's network, with service expanding beyond Fort Lauderdale and Boston to include New York's LaGuardia Airport in December, followed by additional routes in January through April 2027 covering destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

JetBlue is offering three BlueFirst fare tiers: BlueFirst Base, BlueFirst, and BlueFirst Flex, each with varying levels of flexibility, checked bag allowances and change or cancellation terms. All tiers include Group 1 boarding and priority check-in access.

The airline's loyalty program, TrueBlue, will also see changes tied to the new cabin. Mosaic 3 and Mosaic 4 members will receive Premium Upgrade Certificates redeemable for both BlueFirst and Mint, JetBlue's existing business class product. Space-available complimentary upgrades for eligible Mosaic members will be available at launch, with additional details to be announced.

Introductory promotional fares are available through October 16, 2026, according to the company's statement, with blackout dates applying during the December holiday period.
