S&P Global adds Visible Alpha data to its AI Data Portal

October 15, 2026 8:06 AM

S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI) announced that Visible Alpha data is now accessible through its AI Data Portal, allowing customers to query broker-sourced consensus estimates, financial line items, and segment data within AI-powered workflows.

Visible Alpha, part of S&P Global Market Intelligence, aggregates and standardizes data from more than 250 sell-side brokers, covering more than 8,000 companies across 170 industries. The data is available through the portal's Deterministic Retrieval solution, which provides API-driven access via structured queries.

The portal supports natural language querying through third-party AI applications that use the Model Context Protocol (MCP), including GPT, Gemini, Claude, and Copilot. Available data includes consensus estimates with contributor counts and estimate dispersion, standardized financial line items, and business segment forecasts.

Support for Visible Alpha data through the portal's Adaptive Retrieval feature, designed for more complex multi-dataset workflows, is expected later in 2026.

"With Visible Alpha's rich sell-side data now available through the S&P Global AI Data Portal, customers can move from a headline consensus figure to the drivers underneath it in a single query," said Peter Licursi, Head of AI and Growth, Kensho Data & Platforms, S&P Global Market Intelligence.

The addition follows S&P Global's recent integration of its Credit Ratings data into the same portal.
