Sun Life Financial refreshes global brand with new logo and tagline
Sun Life Financial Inc. (NYSE: SLF) announced a refreshed global brand on Oct. 15, 2026, including a modernized logo, a consolidated single-word name "Sunlife," and a new tagline, "Making life brighter."
The company said the updated logo simplifies its existing sun globe design for digital use. The shift to "Sunlife" as one word is intended to unify the company's identity across its global markets, which include Canada, the U.S., the United Kingdom, Ireland, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, India, China, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Bermuda.
"This is about much more than changing how Sunlife looks. It's about building a brand aligned to our Purpose and ambition for the next chapter of our company," said Kevin Strain, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sunlife.

Linda Dougherty, Executive Vice-President and Chief Client and Strategy Officer, said the new tagline is meant to reflect the company's client experience goals. "Making life brighter captures what we want every Sunlife experience to deliver for Clients: greater clarity, confidence and connection."
The rebrand will roll out in phases across global markets, starting with digital and client-facing channels. During the transition, both the previous and refreshed branding may appear across different touchpoints.
As of June 30, 2026, Sunlife reported total assets under management of C$1.70 trillion. The company also trades on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) under the ticker symbol SLF.
