AeroVironment and Elsight to integrate connectivity tech into Mayhem 10
AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV) and Elsight announced a partnership to integrate Elsight's Halo connectivity technology into AV's Mayhem 10 launched effects system, according to a joint press release.
The integration is designed to allow Mayhem 10 to manage multiple communications networks — including satellite, private and public cellular, and point-to-point radio — through a single connectivity layer. Elsight's Halo technology is built to bond multiple communication links into one connection, adapt to changing network conditions, and reduce dependence on any single link without requiring operator intervention.
Mayhem 10 is AeroVironment's autonomous, multi-role launched effects system built for air, ground, and maritime operations. Its modular architecture supports payloads including intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, electronic warfare, communications relay, and precision strike.

"Reliable connectivity is critical to mission success, particularly in contested environments," said Austin Miller, vice president and general manager of the loitering munition systems business unit at AV. "Mayhem 10 was built to evolve with the mission."
Yoav Amitai, CEO of Elsight, said the Halo technology is designed to keep missions operational as communications conditions change, reducing operator workload when managing multiple links.
Integration efforts are currently underway, with both companies working toward advancing the combined capability. No timeline or financial terms were disclosed.
