GoDaddy and partners demo AI agent transaction framework in Singapore

GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY), Infoblox, Google, and Cloudflare demonstrated a reference architecture for verifying AI agent identities across independent platforms at GovWare 2026 during Singapore International Cyber Week on Oct. 14, 2026.

The project, called Chain of Trust, was developed in collaboration with Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and is based on principles from IMDA's Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI. The architecture uses existing open internet standards, including DNS, OAuth, and other established protocols, to allow organizations to discover, identify, and authenticate AI agents throughout a transaction.

The demonstration simulated a flight purchase from Madrid to Singapore conducted by AI agents that did not share a common platform. The buyer agent ran on Amazon Web Services, the seller agent was hosted on Cloudflare Workers, and the mandate authority and verifier agent ran on Google infrastructure. Payment in the simulation was processed through Stripe. The demo also tested scenarios involving a look-alike seller and forged credentials, which the architecture blocked before any transaction was completed.

The architecture is structured in layers covering discovery, identity, authorization, communication, payment, traceability, and trust scoring. Each layer relies on a distinct open standard. Every transaction step is recorded in an append-only log that any party can inspect.

McKinsey & Co. estimates AI agents could facilitate $3 trillion to $5 trillion in global consumer purchases by 2030, according to the press release.

The companies are inviting DNS operators, domain registrars, identity providers, payment networks, cloud and edge platforms, and regulators to adopt and extend the architecture. A technical case study mapping each layer to IMDA's governance frameworks has been published by several of the participating companies.
