Pfizer to present infectious disease data at IDWeek 2026
Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) plans to present data from more than 50 research abstracts at the IDWeek 2026 congress in Washington, D.C., scheduled for October 21-24, 2026, according to a company press release.
The presentations will include 12 oral sessions covering vaccines and therapies across several infectious diseases. Key data include Phase 2 immunogenicity results for a 25-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine candidate in healthy infants, and Phase 3 efficacy and safety results from the VALOR study of LB6V, a Lyme disease vaccine candidate developed with Valneva, in participants aged five and older. The European Medicines Agency began reviewing a marketing authorization application for LB6V in August 2026.
Pfizer and BioNTech will also present Phase 3 safety and immunogenicity data for the LP.8.1-adapted Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine in children aged 5-11 years with underlying medical conditions.

Real-world data will be presented on Pfizer's RSV vaccine Abrysvo, including three-season effectiveness data from a study of Veterans Affairs nursing home residents and results from the multicenter STREETON study evaluating maternal vaccination effectiveness against RSV-associated hospitalization in infants in Australia. The STREETON findings were also published in JAMA Pediatrics.
Additional presentations will cover Prevnar 20's effectiveness against invasive pneumococcal disease and all-cause pneumonia in U.S. adults 65 and older, and modeling data on long-term antibody persistence following a two-dose series of Penbraya, Pfizer's meningococcal vaccine.
Data on extended-duration Paxlovid therapy in severely immunocompromised adults with COVID-19 will also be presented at the congress.
