GoldMining Inc. (NYSE American: GLDG) has appointed Alexandre Soares Pimenta as Project Director for its 100%-owned São Jorge Gold Project in Pará State, Brazil, according to a company statement.

Pimenta brings more than 25 years of experience in mining, metallurgy, engineering, and large-scale industrial project development. He has previously held senior roles at ORE Investments, Gerdau, Mineração Morro do Ipê, Alcoa World Alumina, and Samarco Mineração. Most recently, he served as CEO of Ativa Mineração and Director of Engineering at ORE Investments. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, an MBA from PUC Minas, and a postgraduate specialization from Fundação Dom Cabral.

In his new role, Pimenta will oversee technical studies, engineering, project planning, and implementation strategy, and will lead the commencement of pre-feasibility activities and an infill diamond core drilling program using multiple drill rigs to improve definition of the São Jorge deposit.

GoldMining completed a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for São Jorge on June 11, 2026. The PEA modeled a conventional open-pit operation processing 5,500 tonnes per day over a 10.6-year mine life, with a base case after-tax net present value of $532 million at a 5% discount rate and an after-tax internal rate of return of 42.4%, using a base gold price of $3,500 per ounce. Average annual production was modeled at 51,250 ounces of gold.

The PEA is preliminary in nature and includes inferred mineral resources considered too speculative to be categorized as mineral reserves. There is no certainty that the economic outcomes outlined in the PEA will be realized.

The São Jorge project is located in the Tapajós gold district, adjacent to regional highway BR-163. GoldMining is a mineral exploration company with gold and gold-copper projects across Canada, the U.S., Brazil, Colombia, and Peru.
