Owlting Group and Decaf launch dollar accounts for non-U.S. firms

October 14, 2026 6:04 AM

Owlting Group (NASDAQ: OWLS) announced that Decaf, a global payments platform, has integrated OwlPay Harbor as the regulated payment infrastructure behind Decaf Business, enabling eligible companies and organizations incorporated outside the United States to open and hold U.S. dollar accounts.

According to a press release, Decaf Business has been in production on OwlPay Harbor since August 2026. The integration allows non-U.S. entities to hold dollar accounts in their own name, fund them via domestic wire and ACH, and make payments to U.S. suppliers, employees, and contractors without establishing a U.S. legal entity. Balances are held as USDC stablecoin on the Stellar network, with outbound payments supported via wire, ACH, RTP, and Visa Direct to eligible U.S. debit cards.

Decaf reported $48 million in monthly payment volume, a figure sourced from the Stellar Community Fund's 2025 Impact Report. Owlting earns fees on payment volume processed through Harbor, with revenue scaling alongside Decaf's customer base without requiring separate sales cycles per customer.

The integration has already handled payments in live settings, including scholarship and per diem disbursements for delegates at the International AIDS Conference in Rio de Janeiro in July 2026. Humanitarian organizations MedGlobal and the International AIDS Society also use the service to fund programs in regions with limited conventional banking access.

"An exporter in Colombia and an aid organization working in a conflict zone have the same problem: getting dollars where they need to go, on time, through systems that were never designed to work together," said Rick Martin, CEO of Decaf.

"Infrastructure proves itself when other people build their products on it," said Darren Wang, Founder and CEO of Owlting Group. "Every corridor we add reaches a partner's whole customer base at once."

Owlting secured a money transmitter license in Connecticut in September 2026, extending its payment operations to 43 U.S. states. The company said it continues to track toward its previously stated target of surpassing $1 billion in cumulative processed payment volume across the OwlPay platform by the end of 2026.
