Hycroft Mining reports record gold grades at Nevada's Vortex system

October 13, 2026 4:30 PM

Hycroft Mining Holding Corporation (Nasdaq: HYMC) reported its highest-grade drill intercept on record from its Vortex exploration target at the Hycroft Mine in Winnemucca, Nev., according to a company statement.

Drill hole H26D-6175A returned 19.6 meters grading 30.49 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 1,726.72 g/t silver. Within that interval, a 1.7-meter section graded 347.07 g/t gold and 9,526.36 g/t silver. The company said visible gold was observed in the intercept.

The results are part of Hycroft's 2025–2026 Exploration Drill Program. The company said the intercept extends farther west and south of previously reported high-grade zones and that the style of alteration and mineralization could indicate proximity to a potential source of the Vortex system.

CEO Diane Garrett said in a statement: "The silver-equivalent grade is more than 50% higher than that of our previous best hole, and this intercept contained the highest gold grades ever reported at Hycroft, with visible gold observed in the intercept."

Garrett added that follow-up drilling is underway and that the company plans to accelerate work at both the Vortex and Brimstone systems.

The Hycroft Mine is located in Nevada and holds both the Vortex and Brimstone high-grade silver and gold exploration targets.
