Accenture and Workday launch joint AI engineering program

October 13, 2026 4:00 PM

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and Workday (NASDAQ: WDAY) announced a joint forward deployed engineering program aimed at helping organizations deploy AI agents in human resources and finance operations.

Under the program, Accenture engineers will work alongside client HR and finance teams to bring Workday's agentic capabilities into production environments. The effort combines Accenture's industry and engineering expertise with Workday's platform, working within clients' existing processes, data, policies, and controls.

The collaboration also extends to product development. Accenture engineers will work with Workday's product and technology teams to build new agentic capabilities on the Workday platform, creating a feedback loop between client deployments and product innovation.

Julie Sweet, chair and CEO of Accenture, said the two companies will help clients "reinvent HR and finance for a future where people and AI agents collaborate in new ways of working that create measurable business outcomes and drive growth."

Aneel Bhusri, co-founder, CEO, and chair of Workday, said the program is intended to help customers "move from experimenting with AI to running their business on it, faster and with greater confidence."

Accenture reported approximately $74 billion in fiscal year 2026 revenue and employs approximately 814,000 people globally.
