NFT Limited releases RWAIX protocol, plans Q1 2027 pilot

October 13, 2026 9:32 AM

NFT Limited (NYSE American: MI), a Hong Kong-based digital art and collectibles trading platform operator, announced the release of RWAIX, a proposed technical protocol designed to allow buyers, sellers, AI agents, and robots to verify identities, agreements, and delivery of transactions.

The company said internal testing recorded 50 passed tests with no failures. The reference implementation has been open-sourced on GitHub under the MIT License, allowing developers to clone the repository and run the full test suite independently.

RWAIX is intended to replace reliance on a single platform operator for transaction record-keeping by enabling both parties and independent verifiers to access the same record of agreements, payments, delivery, and dispute resolution.

The company's existing digital art platform, operated through its wholly owned Hong Kong subsidiary Metaverse Digital Payment Co., Limited, is described as the intended first use case. The planned pilot would apply RWAIX to a single NFT order end-to-end, using existing bank payment rails. No cryptocurrency is required for the pilot.

The company outlined a 90-day plan targeting a limited live pilot in Q1 2027. The plan involves locking down platform and artwork rights in the first 30 days, sandbox testing through day 60, and launching a small real-money order by day 90, subject to completion of an independent security review.

The company disclosed it has not signed any AI compute customers, has not started any robotics project, and has not issued any cryptocurrency or digital tokens. Two token concepts — DCNFT and $RWAIX — were described in a whitepaper as future design ideas only, with none created, offered for sale, or approved by regulators.

CEO Yanying Wang stated: "Our internal testing is complete, and the reference implementation is now public on GitHub — anyone can download it, run the 50 tests, and see for themselves. Over the next 90 days we intend to find out whether it works on a real customer order."

The 90-day timeline and Q1 2027 target remain subject to change and dependent on the completion of independent security review, according to the company's statement.
