Ondas wins EASA certification for missile protection on Global 7500
Ondas Inc. (Nasdaq: ONDS) announced that its Airborne Missile Protection System (AMPS) has received European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification for installation on a Bombardier Global 7500 aircraft.
The system, developed by BIRD Aerosystems, an Ondas subsidiary, incorporates Directional Infrared Countermeasures (DIRCM) technology designed to protect aircraft against Man-Portable Air-Defense Systems (MANPADS) and other infrared-guided missile threats. The system integrates missile warning, threat detection and confirmation, tracking, and countermeasure capabilities.
The EASA certification confirms that the missile protection suite's integration on the Bombardier Global 7500 meets applicable European airworthiness requirements. The Global 7500 is described in a company statement as the latest in a growing range of high-value aircraft platforms equipped with the company's protection solutions.

"Protecting high-value aircraft and government aviation assets against increasingly sophisticated missile threats is a critical and growing defense requirement," said Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas. "This certification demonstrates the advanced capabilities and operational expertise within our growing defense technology portfolio."
According to the company, the AMPS suite can be adapted to helicopters, transport aircraft, commercial aircraft, and VVIP/head-of-state aircraft platforms. The system is described as capable of reducing false alarms to virtually zero.
