Better Home & Finance Q3 loan volume rises 15% year over year
Better Home & Finance Holding Company (NASDAQ: BETR) reported preliminary third-quarter total loan volume of $1.39 billion, up 15% from $1.21 billion in the same period a year earlier, according to a company press release.
Volume processed through the company's Tinman AI platform reached $790 million, a 64% increase from $483 million in Q3 2025, representing approximately 57% of total loan volume compared with roughly 40% a year earlier. Preliminary results came in toward the lower end of the company's previously announced guidance range of $1.375 billion to $1.525 billion.
The company also released its first Better 2.0 weekly management scorecard, which tracks progress on three priorities: expense reductions, an interim CEO appointment, and expansion of Tinman and HELOC partner launches. Better said it implemented approximately $13.2 million in annualized expense reductions in the first week and is targeting an additional $51 million in annualized reductions over the next four weeks. Combined, the implemented and planned initiatives represent approximately $64.2 million in annualized expense reductions once fully executed.
The scorecard also noted that four of five potential HELOC partner opportunities remain viable, and that engagement discussions with an identified interim CEO candidate are ongoing.

"Our next priority is to translate that growth into stronger financial performance through disciplined expense management and improved operating efficiency," said Loveen Advani, Chief Financial Officer.
Vishal Garg, Founder and Head of Product, Platform & Innovation, said the company is targeting Adjusted EBITDA breakeven and plans to publish the management scorecard weekly until that goal is reached.
The preliminary results are estimates subject to completion of the company's financial closing procedures and do not represent a complete presentation of third-quarter financials.
