Canopy Growth's Smiths Falls site gets EU GMP certification
Canopy Growth Corporation (Nasdaq: CGC) announced that its Smiths Falls, Ontario facility has received European Union Good Manufacturing Practice (EU GMP) certification from the Tübingen Regional Council, Baden-Württemberg's medicines regulatory authority in Germany.
According to the company, based on a review of the European Medicines Agency's EudraGMDP database as of October 9, 2026, the Smiths Falls site is now the only Canadian cannabis facility with EU GMP certification covering softgel manufacturing combined with primary packaging of softgels, liquids for internal use, and dried cannabis flower.
The certification expands Canopy Growth's existing EU GMP supply chain, which connects Canadian cultivation, manufacturing, and packaging with its European distribution network. The company said the certification supports the supply of medical cannabis products to European markets, subject to applicable product and market requirements.

"This EU GMP certification adds a capability that sets us apart and accelerates our strategy to capture more value across our supply chain," said Luc Mongeau, Chief Executive Officer of Canopy Growth.
The Smiths Falls certification follows a renewed EU GMP certification at the company's Kincardine, Ontario facility. Canopy Growth said it is focused on commercial execution across Germany, Poland, and the UK, including building relationships with pharmacies, clinics, and healthcare professionals.
