Lattice Semiconductor launches post-quantum firmware security stack

October 12, 2026 4:02 PM

Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC) announced version 5.0 of its Lattice Sentry solution stack, a platform firmware resilience and attestation product the company claims is the first to incorporate post-quantum cryptography (PQC).

The updated stack is designed to meet CNSA 2.0 and NIST standards and targets AI data centers and critical infrastructure. It combines Lattice's FPGA portfolio with AMI's platform management software to deliver what the company describes as an integrated platform security solution.

Key features of Lattice Sentry v5.0 include NIST SP800-193-compliant firmware protection and autonomous recovery for BIOS and BMC components, support for PQC algorithms including ML-DSA, LMS, XMSS, and ML-KEM, classical cryptography options such as ECDSA and AES-GCM, and hardware attestation based on the Security Protocol and Data Model standard.

The stack also incorporates AMI Tektagon PQC Resiliency, described as an end-to-end framework for PQC-enabled provisioning, firmware updates, and lifecycle management.

"AI infrastructure and the threat landscape are evolving rapidly. Platform firmware has become a primary attack vector, and the quantum era will upend decades of security assumptions," said Mamta Gupta, VP of Business Development, Compute & Communications, at Lattice Semiconductor. "Customers no longer have to choose between security today and quantum readiness."

Demo boards and custom design services are currently available. Lattice Semiconductor plans to showcase the Sentry stack at the OCP Global Summit 2026, scheduled for October 13–15 at the San Jose Convention Center in California.
