Keysight demos Link Layer Retry interoperability at OCP Summit
Keysight Technologies (NYSE: KEYS) will demonstrate multi-vendor interoperability of Link Layer Retry (LLR) technology alongside Broadcom and Alibaba Cloud at the 2026 OCP Global Summit in San Jose, running October 12–15.
According to a press release from Keysight, the demonstrations will cover LLR operation across 200G and 100G SerDes implementations, as well as Credit-Based Flow Control (CBFC) at 100G SerDes.
The demonstrations include two scenarios. The first features Keysight and Broadcom running LLR over 200G SerDes-based 1.6T speed between the Keysight INPT-1600GE and a Broadcom Tomahawk 6-based switch. The second involves Keysight demonstrating LLR and CBFC over 100G SerDes-based 400GE speed with an Alibaba Cloud switch built on the Broadcom Tomahawk Ultra ASIC.

Ram Periakaruppan, Vice President and General Manager of Network Test and Security Solutions at Keysight, said the company is "helping the industry move Ultra Ethernet link-layer technologies from specification to deployable technology" through validation across multiple SerDes generations and switch architectures.
Dennis Cai, VP of Engineering and Head of Network Infrastructure at Alibaba Cloud, said the demonstration "provides an important validation in a hyperscale implementation" and supports an open Ethernet ecosystem for scale-up technologies.
Keysight will present the demonstrations at its Scale-Up station, Booth #C83, at the San Jose Convention Center.
