Ondas and Palantir form Regna AI for sovereign defense AI

October 12, 2026 8:02 AM

Ondas Inc. (NASDAQ: ONDS) and Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: PLTR) have announced the formation of Regna AI, a standalone private company initially wholly owned by Ondas and powered by Palantir's platform, according to a press release.

Regna AI is designed to help customers develop and deploy mission-specialized AI models within their own sovereign environments, meaning customers retain control over both the models and their mission data. Ondas will serve as Regna AI's first customer, using fine-tuned models for autonomous mission orchestration at the edge.

Palantir will provide model-training infrastructure and forward-deployed engineering support. The new company will build on an existing collaboration between Ondas and Palantir on SkyWeaver C4I, an open-architecture program integrating layered surveillance from the stratosphere to the tactical edge.

Regna AI's models are intended for deployment on edge hardware including drones, stratospheric balloons, ground vehicles, and surface vessels, as well as command-and-control nodes, supporting operations in denied, degraded, intermittent, or limited connectivity conditions.

"No government should have to build its AI strategy on models or data infrastructure it does not control," said Eric Brock, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ondas.

Alex Karp, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Palantir, stated: "Sovereign AI, trained on mission knowledge and tradecraft, outperforms frontier models while removing dependence on them."

The company plans to expand beyond defense into security, critical infrastructure, and industrial markets. Ondas and Palantir said they will work to scale the platform and support initial customer deployments in the coming months.
