Celanese raises polyamide prices in the Americas starting Oct. 2026
Celanese Corporation (NYSE: CE) announced a price increase for select polyamide products sold in the Americas, effective on all shipments on or after Oct. 19, 2026, or as contracts otherwise allow.
According to the company's statement, PA6 products — including brands such as Zytel, Frianyl, Celanyl, Minlon, CoolPoly, and Ecomid — will increase by $0.44/kg ($0.20/lb). PA66 products under the same brand families will increase by $0.33/kg ($0.15/lb). Individual grades may be subject to higher increases than those specified.

Celanese cited continued cost increases and evolving market conditions as reasons for the adjustment. The Dallas-based company reported 2025 net sales of $9.5 billion and employs more than 11,000 people worldwide.
