Profound Medical and Telix sign co-education deal on prostate care

October 9, 2026 7:47 AM

Profound Medical Corp. (NASDAQ: PROF) and Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (NASDAQ: TLX) have entered into a co-education agreement aimed at informing physicians about the combined use of Telix's PSMA-PET imaging technologies and Profound's MRI-guided TULSA-PRO platform in prostate cancer care, according to a press release.

The agreement establishes a framework for educating urologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and prostate cancer centers on the complementary roles of Telix's Gozellix and Illuccix PSMA-targeting PET imaging products alongside Profound's TULSA-PRO system. Planned activities include participation in medical society meetings, speaker programs, webinars and the development of clinical case studies and educational materials.

Profound is also developing PSMA-PET and MRI image-fusion capabilities for a planned future software update to its Treatment Delivery Console, which would allow Telix's diagnostic imaging data to be incorporated into TULSA-PRO treatment planning alongside real-time MRI imaging.

"This agreement strengthens our relationship with an important strategic participant in the prostate cancer ecosystem and increases our access to urologists across the U.S. and internationally," said Arun Menawat, Profound's chief executive officer and chairman.

Kevin Richardson, CEO of Telix Precision Medicine, said the collaboration aims to increase physician awareness of how PSMA-PET imaging can inform patient selection and treatment planning across minimally invasive approaches.

Profound stated that PSMA-PET imaging may help identify patients with distant metastases or disease beyond the prostate, potentially broadening or refining the population considered for the TULSA Procedure. The company cited research indicating approximately 85% of prostate cancers are multifocal.
