Omnicom Media and Rembrand team up for in-content streaming ads
Omnicom Media, a unit of Omnicom (NYSE: OMC), and in-content advertising platform Rembrand have announced a partnership to place brand advertisements directly within premium streaming video content, according to a press release issued Oct. 8, 2026.
The partnership gives Omnicom Media's Content Collective access to Rembrand's AI-powered VISTA platform, which scans publisher content to identify scenes suitable for in-content ad placement. The capability integrates Acxiom RealID audience data with streaming viewership information to match brands with relevant programming across participating streaming partners.
The four-stage process includes audience matching, inventory mapping, inventory expansion, and activation. Brands can identify target programming using Acxiom audience segments, match that programming against available in-content inventory through VISTA, and deploy placements across participating publishers.
Omnicom Media cited internal research finding that 65% of U.S. consumers avoid advertising to some degree. Separately, commissioned research conducted by Omnicom Media's Partner Intelligence team in collaboration with Rembrand found that in-content advertising, when paired with traditional video ads, drives a 5.5 times impact on message recall and a 4x increase in both purchase intent and perceptions of brand premium quality.

"Our research identified how quickly consumers actively or passively disengage when advertising feels intrusive or overly repetitive," said Megan Pagliuca, Chief Product Officer at Omnicom Media.
John Sedlak, Chief Revenue Officer at Rembrand, said the collaboration makes in-content opportunities "easier to identify, plan and activate across premium streaming."
Cox Automotive, parent company of AutoTrader and Kelley Blue Book, was cited among clients briefed on the capability. Jillian Davis, Director of Marketing Technology at Cox Automotive, said the company is "eager to leverage new, scalable and organic ways to reach our customers within premium content."
