Weyerhaeuser to distribute TimberHP wood fiber insulation in the U.S.
Weyerhaeuser (NYSE: WY) has entered a commercial partnership with TimberHP, a Madison, Maine-based manufacturer of wood fiber insulation, to distribute TimberHP's products through the lumber and building materials channel across the U.S., according to a press release.
Under the agreement, Weyerhaeuser will hold U.S. commercialization and distribution rights for TimberHP's TimberBatt and TimberBoard product lines. TimberFill, TimberHP's blown-in insulation product, will remain under its existing distribution structure.
TimberHP describes itself as the first and only U.S. manufacturer of wood fiber insulation. Its products are made from renewable softwood residuals. Weyerhaeuser's sales and logistics infrastructure will be used to extend availability of these products to dealers, builders, and contractors.
The partnership also includes a customer education and technical support component, with Weyerhaeuser's sales teams working alongside TimberHP's technical specialists to provide product training and installation guidance.

"This partnership represents an important next step for wood fiber insulation in the U.S.," said Matt O'Malia, CEO and co-founder of TimberHP.
Neal Shunk, Vice President of Wood Product Sales and Marketing at Weyerhaeuser, said the deal would "expand our distribution portfolio and bring new, innovative wood fiber insulation products to more customers."
The two companies said they are also exploring opportunities to develop additional wood-based building materials. Weyerhaeuser reported $6.9 billion in net sales in 2025 and owns or controls more than 10 million acres of timberlands in the U.S.
