Docusign launches PDF editor for its agreement platform
Docusign (Nasdaq: DOCU) announced a new PDF Editor product that integrates PDF editing capabilities into its Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) platform, according to a company press release.
The desktop application allows users to edit text and images, combine files, reorder or delete pages, redact information, add annotations, create forms, and convert file types — all within the Docusign workflow. Once a document is ready, users can send it directly into Docusign's signing process without manually uploading files.
The product also includes an auditable record of changes made before signing, and locks editing once a document is signed. After signing, agreements are analyzed using AI tools within the platform to track key dates and surface contract insights.

Docusign said more than 70% of eSignature requests initiated directly in Docusign begin as PDFs, creating friction when edits require switching between external tools before a document can be sent for signature.
"You shouldn't have to jump in between tools just to get a contract ready for signature," said Graham Sheldon, Chief Product Officer at Docusign. "With Docusign PDF Editor, you can now edit your PDF, send it for signature, and manage the contract afterward."
The desktop application is intended for teams in legal, sales, procurement, and human resources, among other departments. It will be available for IAM and eSignature customers to purchase starting November 2, 2026, in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, with additional languages planned for 2027.
