Simulations Plus lands funded QSP modeling deal with pharma firm
Simulations Plus, Inc. (Nasdaq: SLP) announced a funded partnership with an unnamed global pharmaceutical company to apply its AI-enabled quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) engine, Turin, within an active drug development program, according to a press release.
The collaboration will use Turin to explore mechanistic model structures at scale, with the goal of reducing the time required to build and evaluate QSP models. Traditionally, QSP development has required scientists to manually select biological mechanisms, structure equations, and optimize parameters with limited ability to test alternatives. Turin is designed to evaluate candidate mechanistic structures against available evidence in parallel.
Under the agreement, the pharmaceutical partner will access Turin through a hosted environment, supported by Simulations Plus scientists providing scientific guidance. The company said the partnership is intended to expand into additional therapeutic development programs.

"QSP can provide powerful insight into complex biological systems, but the time and expertise required to build and evaluate these models has historically limited where and when they can be applied," said Shawn O'Connor, Chief Executive Officer of Simulations Plus. "Turin is designed to break down that barrier and make QSP practical for a broader range of development decisions."
Turin's capabilities are supported by a previously announced technical collaboration with Nvidia, disclosed in May 2026. Simulations Plus is based in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
