Zeta Global unveils AthenaOS enterprise intelligence platform
Zeta Global (NYSE: ZETA) announced AthenaOS, an enterprise intelligence operating system, at its Zeta Live 2026 event. The system is built on the company's Zeta Data Cloud and is designed to organize intelligence around business objectives rather than requiring users to navigate separate applications.
AthenaOS operates through a conversational interface called Athena by Zeta, where users state a business objective and the system assembles the intelligence, applications, and actions needed to pursue it. The platform runs a continuous loop using each outcome to inform the next decision.
The company also introduced Athena MCP, a headless solution that allows enterprises to bring Zeta intelligence into existing applications and workflows, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini environments.
Zeta unveiled the Athena Inference Model (AIM), a collection of proprietary AI models being developed in collaboration with Fireworks using NVIDIA Nemotron. These models are fine-tuned for specific AthenaOS use cases, including domain language, brand voice, and formatting requirements.

The company also announced it has begun early-stage work on a specialized chip and supporting data center infrastructure with an unnamed semiconductor partner, describing the approach as capital-light.
"AthenaOS marks an expansion of Zeta's intelligent AI infrastructure beyond marketing," said David A. Steinberg, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Zeta Global. "It starts with what you want to achieve, brings together what your business knows with Zeta's intelligence about the customer, and organizes the work around the outcome."
AthenaOS is currently in limited internal beta and is expected to enter public beta later in 2026, with general availability planned for the first quarter of 2027. The chip development remains in early stages, with architecture and development paths still being defined.
Synchrony Financial's Senior Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Operations, Jeff Brousseau, said the company has already deployed Athena agents for quality assurance, link validation, and translation tasks, and anticipates AthenaOS will bring more business context into decisions.
