WISeSat.Space and Fossa Systems confirm October 2026 satellite launch

October 8, 2026 8:33 AM

WISeSat.Space Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: SAIQ) and Spain-based Fossa Systems have confirmed a satellite launch scheduled for October 2026, according to a press release from the companies dated October 8, 2026.

The mission is described as the start of a new series of launches intended to support the progressive development of QSOC, the Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud, a constellation architecture that combines post-quantum cryptography, hardware roots of trust and digital identity technologies.

The announcement follows four years of cooperation between the two companies, including an investment by WISeSat in Fossa Systems. The collaboration is focused on integrating security technologies into small satellite platforms, combining Fossa's satellite engineering capabilities with WISeSat's secure space infrastructure strategy.

Alongside the launch confirmation, the companies released images captured from orbit by a WISeSat spacecraft, including a view taken over the WISeSat.Space headquarters.

The QSOC architecture is designed to extend a security perimeter across satellites, ground stations and connected endpoints. Technologies to be incorporated include hardware protection for cryptographic keys, authenticated digital identities and post-quantum cryptography for key establishment and digital signatures.

The companies stated that these capabilities will be introduced progressively across successive missions. The long-term objective, as described in the release, is decentralized orbital infrastructure supporting secure IoT connectivity, trusted data exchange and resilient communications for sovereign and commercial applications.

Carlos Moreira, Founder and CEO of WISeSat.Space, said, "The October launch marks the next step in our QSOC roadmap, progressively bringing post-quantum security, hardware roots of trust and digital identity into orbit."

Fossa Systems specializes in small-satellite development, launch and operations and is headquartered in Spain. WISeSat.Space is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
