Nuwellis to hold advisory board meeting for pediatric CRRT system

October 8, 2026 8:31 AM

Nuwellis, Inc. (Nasdaq: NUWE) announced it will convene a Medical & Nursing Advisory Board on Nov. 18–19, 2026, to support development of its Vivian pediatric continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) system.

The meeting will bring together approximately a dozen pediatric providers, nurses, and clinical advisors from 11 pediatric institutions across the U.S. for a hands-on evaluation of the Vivian system. According to the company, this marks its first dedicated Vivian Medical & Nursing Advisory Board in several years.

The Vivian system is under development for children as small as 2.5 kilograms and is designed to incorporate multiple fluid management therapies in a single platform.

"Vivian is being purpose-built around the unique clinical and operational needs of pediatric patients and the clinicians who care for them," said Mike McCormick, Nuwellis President and Chief Executive Officer.

Nuwellis said feedback from the advisory board is expected to help validate design decisions, identify unmet clinical and workflow needs, and prioritize future system enhancements.

Separately, Nuwellis is pursuing regulatory approval to expand the indication for its existing Aquadex SmartFlow ultrafiltration system to pediatric patients weighing 5 kilograms or more, down from the current labeled minimum of 20 kilograms.
