Lemonade expands Tesla FSD insurance discount to HW3 vehicles
Lemonade (NYSE: LMND) announced it has expanded its Autonomous Car insurance product to include Tesla vehicles equipped with HW3 hardware running FSD (Supervised) v14 Lite software, according to a company press release.
Tesla drivers in Arizona, Colorado, and Tennessee with HW3 and FSD v14 Lite can now receive a 30% discount on miles driven with FSD engaged. Tesla owners with HW4 hardware running FSD v14.2 or newer continue to receive a 50% discount on those miles.
FSD Lite is Tesla's adaptation of its v14 software for vehicles equipped with HW3, the company's previous-generation onboard computer. Lemonade uses Tesla's Fleet API, with customer permission, to distinguish between miles driven with FSD engaged and miles driven by a human, pricing each category separately.

Shai Wininger, President and Co-Founder of Lemonade, said the company plans to expand support to additional states beyond the current three.
Lemonade noted that additional savings are available when the Autonomous Car product is bundled with its Renters, Pet, or Home insurance policies. The company added that FSD (Supervised) requires active driver supervision and does not make the vehicle autonomous.
