Volato Group to rename itself SOAR AI with $1.2B in contracted demand

October 8, 2026 8:05 AM

Volato Group, Inc. (NYSE American: SOAR) announced plans to change its corporate name to SOAR AI, Inc., following its merger with Alignment Engine Inc. The name change is expected to take effect on October 19, 2026, with trading under the new name set to begin on the NYSE American on October 20, 2026. The ticker symbol "SOAR" will remain unchanged.

The company said it has secured approximately $1.2 billion in contracted customer demand for its AI infrastructure campus under construction in Ohio. In September 2026, the company entered into a master services agreement and two four-year, take-or-pay orders with a single AI customer, with an aggregate contract value of approximately $1.17 billion.

The first deployment, using AMD MI355X GPUs, has a contractual start date of December 31, 2026. The second deployment, using AMD MI455X GPUs, is set to begin June 30, 2027. Both are structured as dedicated, single-tenant GPU clusters.

The Ohio campus is designed to support artificial intelligence, machine learning and high-performance computing workloads, and includes data center infrastructure, power and cooling systems, and high-performance networking.

"The SOAR AI identity better represents the company we are building today and where we are going," said Chris Ensey, Chief Executive Officer. "We are actively constructing AI infrastructure in Ohio, have secured $1.2 billion of contracted customer demand, and are pursuing additional customers for our available and planned capacity."

The company said it is also evaluating additional data center locations in the United States and internationally. SOAR AI stands for Sovereign AI Resources, reflecting a strategy the company describes as giving customers control over data, models and computing environments.

The company will continue operating its aviation AI platform, Parslee, and its private aviation membership platform, Vaunt. The name change does not require action by existing stockholders and will not affect the company's corporate existence or the rights of its security holders.
