Safe Pro Group wins U.S. subcontract, launches AI battlefield suite
Safe Pro Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAI) announced it has been awarded a U.S. government subcontract and launched a five-component AI software suite called SPAI Ground Truth, designed to provide battlefield situational awareness by fusing data from aerial and ground-based drone sources.
The suite can identify more than 150 types of explosive threats, including landmines, cluster munitions, unexploded ordnance, and ambush drones. According to the company, its underlying AI models have processed more than 3.1 million drone images, recorded 58,526 confirmed threat detections, and mapped over 39,777 acres in Ukraine.
SPAI Ground Truth consists of five components: GT Cloud, an AWS-hosted processing platform for AI threat analysis and 2D/3D mapping; GT Air, embedded on unmanned aerial systems for in-flight detection; GT Road, deployed on ground vehicles for real-time anti-vehicle mine detection while in motion; GT Field, running on laptops and tablets for real-time and post-flight analysis; and GT NODE, a portable edge-compute server for fully offline detection and threat mapping.

The suite produces 3D models, orthomosaics, digital surface models, and terrain analysis layers, with outputs designed to integrate with existing tactical networks including the ATAK/TAK ecosystem.
"SPAI Ground Truth is the result of over four years of operational usage and data collection including more than 3.1 million real-world drone images from Ukraine, designed to enable soldiers to true the ground with confidence," said Dan Erdberg, chairman and chief executive officer of Safe Pro Group.
Separately, Safe Pro received an initial order from a new U.S. government prime contractor for its patented AI software supporting autonomy and threat detection capabilities. No additional terms of that contract were disclosed.
