Largo receives environmental permit for GAN vanadium mine in Brazil
Largo Inc. (NASDAQ: LGO) announced that Brazil's environmental agency INEMA has issued a permit for the development of the Gulçari A Norte (GAN) open pit mine and associated infrastructure at its Maracás Menchen Mine in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
The permit, issued under INEMA Portaria No. 35,482, grants a four-year license for the implementation and operation of the GAN pit and related infrastructure, including a new waste rock stockpile, calcined tailings facility, an expanded Dry Mag stockpile, access roads and operational support areas. The permit also covers vegetation suppression, fauna management and other activities within the approved project area.
The GAN pit is adjacent to the Campbell open pit mine, which has been Largo's sole source of vanadium production for 12 years. The GAN deposit contains vanadium, copper, gold and platinum group metals, similar to the Campbell pit, which began producing copper, gold and PGMs as by-products in August 2026.

The GAN deposit is one of five open pits in Largo's Maracás Menchen portfolio, which the company states has a projected 31-year mine life. Largo said the permit supports its ability to execute that long-term mine plan and adds operational flexibility by diversifying ore sources.
Co-CEO Jim Bannantine said the permit "strengthens the long-term fundamentals of Maracás Menchen Mine and provides flexibility" and "greater certainty around our future mining areas."
